Chaplain Mirabai Galashan MTh BCC CMT RYT is an expert in spirituality, health and mind-body medicine who helps people recover from trauma to enjoy the best quality of life possible. Mirabai is a Board Certified Healthcare Chaplain and Holistic Therapist with over 15 years experience working with individuals and groups around the world in settings ranging from the inpatient psychiatric units to private practice.
Mirabai has her Master of Theology in Healthcare chaplaincy and completed her Clinical pastoral education with a residency at University of Pennsylvania before becoming certified through the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation as facilitator of both individual and group interventions and debriefings. She has many years’ experience supporting both the victims of trauma and professionals experiencing secondary traumatization. In addition, as a certified facilitator serving the Woman Within organization for 15 years, Mirabai has worked with thousands of women worldwide healing from childhood and adult sexual and physical abuse, most recently in South Africa.
Mirabai has a strong interest in psychoneuroimmunology and most recently completed a course of study on the fundamentals of Stress and the Relaxation response at the Harvard Medical School. With twenty years experience in complementary therapies and as a certified yoga teacher, massage therapist and meditation instructor, Mirabai Galashan is uniquely qualified to draw on cutting-edge research and utilize a variety of mind-body medicine techniques for a truly holistic approach to recovery from trauma; ‘beyond surviving to thriving’.
