Study Shows Vets with PTSD, Twice as Likely to have Heart Disease

The Pacific Islands Division of the National Center for PTSD conducted a study of more than 8000 veterans in Hawaii and the pacific islands. They found that those with PTSD had a 50% greater risk at developing heart failure. Most experts agree that certain forms of anxiety and chronic stress, like PTSD, will damage the heart over time.
